Content Rights & Licensing
Who owns what you make — and how you can use it.
You own your exports
Subject to payment and our Terms, you own the finished ads you export from Castalume — the video, ad images, radio spot, landing page and email — and may use them commercially in paid and organic advertising, on any platform, worldwide, with no per-use or royalty fee to us.
What stays licensed (not sold)
Some building blocks are licensed to you for use inside your exports but are not transferred outright: stock music, licensed synthetic presenter avatars, and provider-supplied assets. Use them as part of your ad; don't resell or redistribute them as standalone assets.
Your inputs
You keep ownership of what you upload (logos, product photos, footage, copy) and confirm you have the rights to use them. You grant us a limited licence to process those inputs only to produce your ad.
AI-generated media
Outputs are generated with AI. In some jurisdictions purely AI-generated content may not attract the same copyright protection as human-authored work — this can affect your ability to stop others copying identical output, but not your right to use your ad commercially. See our AI Disclosure.
Presenters & likeness
Stock presenters are licensed synthetic avatars cleared for commercial ad use. Custom 'bring-your-own' presenters require verified consent from the person; you are responsible for that consent and any likeness rights.
Free previews are not licensed
Watermarked previews are for evaluation only and are not licensed for publication. Export on a paid plan to get the clean, licensed, watermark-free ad.
Compliance is yours
You are responsible for ensuring each ad meets the rules of the platform it runs on and the law where it runs, including any AI-disclosure labelling. See AI Disclosure and Acceptable Use.
